Customs officials seized 14 kilograms of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday night.
The customs authorities said the gold was hidden in a detergent pack in a shipment of garment products carried by a Singapore Airlines flight.
Dhaka customs house assistant commissioner HM Ahsanul Kabir said they found 13 gold bars weighing 1 kilogram each, 5 gold bars weighing 116 grams each and 183 gold chains in the pack.
