The fourth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League begins Friday with defending champions Comilla Victorians taking on Rajshahi Kings at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Victorians, led by paceman Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, will be keen to retain the title while the Kings, who have appointed West Indian Darren Sammy the captain, will be determined to mark their debut season with some success.
In the day's second match, Rangpur Riders, the losing semifinalists of the last edition, will lock horns with Khulna Titans at the same stadium.
Barisal Bulls, Chittagong Vikings and Dhaka Dynamites are the other teams fighting for this year's title.
